Your own tissue, processed to support thinning follicles
A small sample of your own skin and follicle tissue is processed into a concentrate of growth factors and injected back into the scalp. A regenerative technique alongside — not obviously superior to — PRP and GFC.
Scalp Growth Factor (Regenerative) Treatment — doctor-administered at the hospital
This treatment takes a small punch sample of skin and hair follicle tissue, usually from an area at the back of the scalp with healthy donor hair, and mechanically processes it into a micrograft concentrate rich in growth factors and progenitor cells. That concentrate is then injected into the thinning area to support the follicles already there.
The distinction worth understanding is where the growth factors come from. This is a tissue-derived, autologous micrografting technique — different from Growth Factor Concentrate (GFC) or PRP, which are prepared from a blood draw. Both approaches aim at the same broad goal, supporting follicles with your body's own signalling factors, and both sit in the same regenerative family. Neither has been shown to clearly outperform the other for pattern hair loss, and this page will not claim otherwise.
As with every hair treatment on this site, this is an add-on considered alongside medical diagnosis and treatment, not a substitute for working out why the hair is thinning in the first place.

GFC and PRP are prepared from a blood draw. This is prepared from a small sample of your own skin and follicle tissue instead. Both are regenerative, autologous techniques aimed at supporting existing follicles, and neither is clearly established as better than the other — the choice often comes down to what your scalp and donor area suit.

Will this regrow hair on its own?
It is meant to support follicles that are still present and miniaturising, not to create new ones or reverse hair loss that has already been treated as something else. It is used alongside medical treatment, and results vary between people.
Does taking the tissue sample leave a mark?
The donor punch is small and taken from an area usually covered by surrounding hair. It heals like a small biopsy site, with mild tenderness for a day or two.
How many sessions will I need?
Often discussed as a short course of two to three sessions with review in between, though some patients start with a single session. You will get a realistic plan once your scalp has been assessed.
Is this proven to work better than PRP?
