That untouched skin heals the treated columns quickly, and the healing response itself is what remodels collagen and improves texture, scarring and fine lines over the following weeks.
This is one of the more aggressive resurfacing options on this list — more effective per session than microneedling for textural change, and correspondingly more downtime and more risk on skin that pigments easily. It is not a lunchtime procedure.
On Indian skin, the fluence, density and depth are the entire safety story: too aggressive and the result is prolonged redness and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, sometimes lasting months. Recovery care

Expect obvious redness and shedding skin for around a week, with residual pinkness fading over the following one to two weeks depending on depth. This is not a treatment to fit around a weekend before an event.
